Memories

Zurich Feb 9 - 12
This is the trip I went up to the Airport Observation Deck for entertainment. It was a fun afternoon and I was surprised at the large number of people. I expensed the CHF 3 it cost to go to the observation desk!

Chicago April 1 - 6 ??
Virgin Flight Expience!!
New York April 6 - 11 (then went to Erins for the w/e)
I was in New York to teach a week long Operations Process and Technology class (OPT).
I ate at "Goodtime" Charley's (where Wade worked) on April 11th. We spent 26 USD (GBP 16.44)
And on the 12th of April, I got cash out in Edison, NJ & we ate at Rumbleseats (?Brandi's work?) USD 20, GBP 12.65
Chicago April  13 - 19
I then went to Chicago to work with Chris on Interest Rate OTC videtapes.

Singapore June 7 - 15  - Stars with Mike Coop on 10 June? (SGB 87.76 = GBP 38.83) I sortof think not.  Vegetarian Restaurant with Chris Smith on 11th June (SGD 34.09 = GBP 15.08)
I taught one week in the Singapore GTP program. The material was the tedious Lifecycle of a Trade and I really didn't want to be there at all. I remember having a cold sore on my lips, staying at the Conrad (not the Ritz) and not wanting to be teaching what I considered tedious details. At least I'd bought a very pair of comfortable shoes the day before I left when I went shopping with Winnie's friend in London. I also remember on the flight home that I was agonizing over when to quit my job in the Education department. I did have an enjoyable dinner though ( I think it was this trip). I went to the Raffles Hotel and tried out Doc Cheng?'s fusion cuisine on the last night. It was really nicely and delicately spiced. yum yum. Spent SGD 49.16 on myself (GBP 21.84). I also went with Yen I think to the "Imperial Herbal Kitchen Restaurant" on 14 June for SGD 102.09 = GBP 45.35. I also bought our Sony DSC-F1 digital camera at Dixon's duty free on the way out of London. I went out to dinner with Simon, his wife and Yen. Plus, I remember Yen showing me around Singapore since I wanted to see what "local housing" was like since we were considering moving to Singapore. I also took an evening cruise on a traditional-looking Chinese ship. The food was so, so and the boat deck smelled like diesel fuel.

New York July 15 - 24 (with Michelle)
This was a FUN trip! Hugo and I split the Business Basics class and I taught mornings while he taught afternoons. This way, I could enjoy NYC with Michelle in the afternoons! We went on a boat cruise in the harbor on the 21st & saw Les Mis on the 22nd (ticket = 37.50 (expensed)

Chicago Aug 14 - 20 Crystal Lake Central reunion (14th, United 1st upgrade?) flew to NY on Aug 17th
Coordinated a work trip with my 10 year high school reunion.

 New York Nov 22 - 26 (+ Col til Dec 30)

London Dec 5 - 9
Stayed in a hotel in London because of the OBS software release that weekend. Le Meridien Piccadilly. GBP 180 per night. We had a horrible, room right next to the elevators. We then requested a different one & ended up with an interesting, little room tucked back into a corner. We had better luck than my work colleage Veeren. Hotel drycleaning lost his wife's Christmas party dress & she had to rush out at the last minute to buy a new one. They got to come back on New Years Eve for free. What we got was closerAlso expensed (on 12 - 6) GBP 277.86 for Andrew, Veeren, Sam, Zahra, David, Eamonn, Matt, Anup, Paul, Sameer, Craig, Munira, Brian & Neal.
London December 15th - Break for the Border = GBP 475
